Baltic and Nordic transport and infrastructure industry event “Nordic+ CrossBorder”
The Baltic and Nordic countries form a tightly connected region, yet the cross-border movement of people, goods, data and technology is still more complex than it should be. To fully exploit the region's potential, closer cooperation, more efficient solutions and the ability to overcome barriers between countries, sectors and organisations are needed.
At the same time, the global environment is also changing rapidly, placing new demands on transport systems and infrastructure. Crisis preparedness, resilience and security, as well as dual-use solutions that can meet both civilian and military needs, are gaining increasing importance. Technological developments, automation and artificial intelligence are opening up new opportunities, but a significant challenge remains the transformation of successful innovations into practical, commercializable and scalable solutions.
To address these challenges and promote closer regional cooperation, the Nordic+ CrossBorder event will take place in Helsinki on May 12 and 13, 2027 - a new international cooperation platform that aims to bring together people and organizations that can promote real change and reduce obstacles to cross-border cooperation.
The event will bring together decision-makers from the Nordic and Baltic countries, representatives of public administration institutions, transport operators, entrepreneurs, technology developers, researchers and other industry professionals to jointly seek solutions for a more efficient, safer and more interconnected development of the region.
The two-day event will focus on the challenges of cross-border cooperation and proven solutions, the opportunities offered by new technologies, strengthening transport and infrastructure resilience, crisis preparedness, and aligning the needs of the civilian and military sectors. Special attention will be paid to how to accelerate the implementation of innovations and move from individual pilot projects to broader practical application.
Nordic+ CrossBorder is intended to be more than a traditional conference – it will be a place for focused discussions, forging new partnerships, and developing concrete cooperation opportunities so that the Nordic and Baltic regions can respond faster and more effectively to common challenges.
