A meeting of the operational steering committee of the "Connectivity in Central Asia (C4CA)" initiative was held in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.

This visit to Kyrgyzstan was particularly important, as in addition to the operational work, there were active discussions with local stakeholders. During the meeting, current project plans and specific needs in Kyrgyzstan were discussed, ensuring that the project activities are closely linked to the real situation in the region. For example, the development of GIS centers and the organization of training in the form of hackathons to search for the most suitable digital solutions.

The initiative has reached its active phase, where the Latvian IT Cluster and other project partners have started the implementation of practical activities. The work is carried out in close synergy with international partners from France ( Expertise France ), Lithuania ( CPMA ), Finland ( HAUS ) and Estonia ( eGov Academy ). The participation of Latvian partners is coordinated by the Central Finance and Contracting Agency (CFLA).

The meeting in Bishkek confirmed that direct dialogue with local partners is the key to successful innovation transfer. Latvia's experience in digital transformation is highly valued, and within the framework of Component 3, we are helping to create a sustainable innovation environment throughout the region.

The C4CA project is implemented in collaboration with the Central Finance and Contracts Agency and “Expertise France”, with funding from the European Commission.
