In October, two notable IT industry events took place in Vilnius: the Transport Innovation Forum and TestCon Europe, which were also attended by representatives of the Latvian IT cluster and member companies.
The Transport Innovation Forum , which has become the leading platform for innovation and cooperation in the Baltic Sea Region, took place on October 8-9 for the sixth year in a row. The theme of this year's event was "Innovation for Resilience and Sustainability", reflecting the changing trends and challenges in the transport and logistics sectors.
The event was graced with the presence of Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė and Lithuanian Minister of Transport and Communications Marius Skuodis. Sharing experiences with neighboring countries is very valuable because we are at a similar stage of development and face similar challenges in the field of mobility and technology. Cooperation at the regional level allows for the exchange of best practices and finding common solutions that meet the specific conditions of the region.
ITS Latvia benefited from this event through newly established contacts, including with the Baltic railway and postal companies, as well as with the EIT Europe (European Institute of Innovation & Technology), an organization whose goal is to promote innovation.
TestCon Europe took place from October 22nd to 25th. It is the largest software testing conference in Europe, designed for anyone who wants to learn the latest trends in testing, best practices and contribute to a smoother software development cycle and quality. The event covered the most current industry topics, including: test management, testing techniques and methodologies, test automation, performance testing, Internet of Things (IoT) testing, test metrics, Agile testing, test team management and soft skills.
This event was attended by four Latvian IT cluster member companies: ABC Software, CODEX, DZC Computer Science Center, ZZ Dats.
“The activity was implemented within the framework of project No. 5.1.1.2.i.0/3/24/A/CFLA/010 “Cluster support for the internationalization and development of the ICT sector”.
