Cluster support for the internationalization and development of the ICT industry

On 15 May 2024, the Latvian IT Cluster and the Central Finance and Contracting Agency concluded a financing agreement No. 5.1.1.2.i.0/3/24/A/CFLA/010 “Cluster support for the internationalisation and development of the ICT sector”. The project aims to increase private research and development expenditure through targeted public investments that promote the development of new products and technologies, as well as the transfer of knowledge to the economy. The project is co-financed by the European Union Recovery Fund.
The following activities are supported within the framework of this project:
· Identification of research, research infrastructure and training needs of the members of the collaborative network;
· Searching for and establishing new international contacts between business people and researchers;
· Organizing experience exchange and knowledge transfer events on innovations and the latest technologies that are relevant to the participants of the cooperation network;
· Searching and establishing new international business contacts;
· Visits to foreign partners related to the scaling of new products or services and participation in international exhibitions;
· Events to promote the industry, marketing and awareness activities;
· Receiving advice on the preparation of project applications and preparing project applications in programs such as "Horizon Europe", "Digital Europe", "European Organization for Nuclear Research", "European Space Agency" and similar European Union-level innovation programs.
The planned implementation period of the project activities is until June 30, 2026, the allocated funding is 514,551.77 Euros, of which 437,369.00 Euros are allocated from the European Union Recovery Fund.
