Josef Umdasch Research Prize 2020

Josef Umdasch Research Prize 2020 – to provide the WSA network with a great opportunity to implement innovative ideas. This year their subsidiary umdasch The Store Makers – one of the leading shopfitting companies in Europe – is looking for ideas on "SDG 12 - Responsible Consumption Through Digitalisation". How can digital solutions support us to produce, trade and consume products and services in a more sustainable way? Latvia is one of their focus countries – we are encouraging start-ups or companies, who would benefit to apply with their idea or solution. Deadline – 10th November! Registration here. The finalists are invited to pitch at the WSA Global Congress in Vienna (March 9-11 2020), get 5000,- € to work on their ideas and get travel and accommodation covered. The winners in the last years got contracts for implementation, found a real global business partner and are extremely happy with this opportunity. The Josef Umdasch Research Prize

Since 1990 the Umdasch Group has been supporting outstanding achievements in research and development through the Josef Umdasch Research Prize. The award is named for Josef Umdasch, the father of the company’s present owners Hilde Umdasch and Alfred Umdasch, who initiated the prize. Today the prize forms an important part of the Umdasch Group Foundation, an initiative of the Umdasch Group. Its aim is to encourage the personal development of young people and to support initiatives which focus on the topics of education and knowledge transfer worldwide.
