Last week, at the breakfast "Basic Principles of Business Etiquette in Distant Markets" organized by the Latvian IT Cluster, we focused on the most important cultural and communication nuances that should be taken into account when establishing cooperation and business relationships in the Asian and Central Asian markets.
Business etiquette is not just a formality - in an international environment, understanding cultural differences, respectful communication, and the ability to adapt can be crucial in building successful and long-term relationships.
Special thanks to Inese Liepiņa, Deputy Head of Protocol of the President of Latvia, for the valuable lecture, practical recommendations and examples from experience! Thanks also to all participants for their questions and active involvement, as well as to LIAA - for hosting us in the LIAA Business Lounge.
The insights from Singapore were particularly valuable, as companies will soon be able to put the knowledge they have gained into practice. As part of the ICC project, a business mission to Singapore is planned for October 26-30, 2026. It will be an opportunity to get to know the market better, make new contacts, and, together with other Nordic and Baltic companies, explore new export and cooperation directions.
