CENTRAL HUB – sustainable mobility solutions in the Central Baltic region
Project objectives and main activities:
The CENTRAL HUB project aims to promote sustainable mobility in the Central Baltic region by reducing dependence on private cars and transport-related CO₂ emissions.
Project partners in Latvia, Finland, Estonia and Sweden will analyze the mobility habits of residents and test mobility solutions adapted to local conditions. Special attention will be paid to more convenient “first and last mile” connections and the integration of different transport modes.
The project will develop and test mobility hubs, shared transport solutions, secure bicycle parking and park & ride facilities. In total, it is planned to improve 13 transport hubs, implement 4 regional pilot projects and involve 10 municipalities.
The project results will help make sustainable modes of transport more accessible and convenient, while promoting cross-border exchange of experiences and adoption of solutions in other cities and regions.
