Latvian IT Cluster started to implement project “IT CEAP – Information technology cluster’s embassies, academy, platforms” (in Latvian „IT KVAP – Informācijas tehnoloģiju klastera vēstniecības, akadēmija, platformas”) co-financed by European Regional Development Foundation.
Aim of project is to improve competitiveness and increase export of IT companies and sector in total by strengthening linkages between IT companies and education and research institutions with three basic activities:
Elimination of the gap between offer and demand in specific IT competencies;
Latvian IT Cluster takes part in the Nordic-Baltic Mobility and Network Programme for Business and Industry. The project consists of four Latvian IT Cluster visits: two visits to Sweden - Norrköping and Lund, and also two visits to Finland - Tampere and Oulu, where DEMOLA nodes are successfully functioning. In summer 2011 a new project was evaluated and approved in the Estonia Latvia Russia cross border cooperation programme. After submission of clarifications the project was approved and grant agreement signed in January 2012.
The project involves partners from Estonia, Russia and Latvia.
Total amount of project is 1 625 080,00 EUR.
