Member of the Latvian IT Cluster – Giraffe Visualization Group receives the German National Prize in Latvia 2013

On June 6, 2013, a member of the Latvian IT Cluster – Giraffe Visualization Group ( – received the German National Prize in Latvia 2013.

Giraffe Visual creates animated 3D visualization and interactive 360° product presentations. With a help of modern media, Internet users from a distance with a single click can, for example, view real estate or "visit" museums and other tourist attractions. Companies with so detailed interactive product presentations can facilitate decision-making of their clients from a distance – at computer screen.

Since the foundation of Giraffe Visual just a year ago, the company has successfully implemented 320 clients’ projects in Latvia and abroad. These include the virtual tour of the DHL logistics center and viewing of exhibition at Goethe Institute Latvia, as well as 360° panorama of Small Guild halls in Riga and square at Buckingham Palace in London.

A solemn ceremony with participation of the Latvian President Mr. Andris Berzins took place in the former Gas tower building of AS Latvian Gas in Riga. The award was presented by the patron, the German Ambassador in Latvia Andrea Quiz and Latvian president of the Baltic Chamber of Commerce Jorg Tumat.

German National Prize annually is dedicated to a special theme. The awards motto of the year 2013 was "New Company". The aim of the German National Prize is to promote German-Latvian economic relations progress, motivating Latvian business cooperation with German partners.
