Latvian IT Cluster signs the Cooperation Protocol in the frame of Latvian Presidency in the EU Council

On September 4, 2013, Latvian IT Cluster has signed the Cooperation Protocol with the Secretariat of the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU). The aim of the Protocol is to promote exchange of information as well as to implement cooperation projects and activities during the preparation period for the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the EU.

By signing the Protocol the Latvian IT Cluster has agreed to provide a discussion on interests and priorities of Latvian presidency, as well as provide a programme for the presidency.

During the Latvian presidency in the EU Council the Latvian IT Cluster plans to particularly emphasise achievements of the Latvian IT industry both in Latvia and abroad thus promoting not only the international recognition of the industry but also promoting discussion on challenges of the IT industry in Europe in the future.

In the first half of year 2015 the Latvian IT Cluster plans to encourage extensive discussions on development challenges and future perspectives of the e-government, e-services and e-health solutions in Latvia, Europe and the whole world, particularly in the frame of the Eastern Partnership, being one of the main priorities for the Latvian Presidency in the EU Council.
