Latvian IT Cluster companies participating in Europe's largest e-Health Forum

From Monday, May 13, till Wednesday, May 15, five Latvian IT Cluster companies have gone to Dublin, the capital city of the European Union’s (EU) Presidency of Ireland, to participate in the Europe's largest and most important e-Health event WoHIT 2013 or the e-Health Week.

Latvian IT cluster companies - ABC Software, Meditec, Lattelecom Technology, Datorzinibu centrs (DZC) and Clusterpoint, in cooperation with the National Health Service and the Latvian IT Cluster, present both national e-health system services and solutions suitable for private clinics and other health professionals.

E-Health Week 2013 brings together two main events: the High Level e-Health Conference co-organised by the European Commission and the Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, and WoHIT (World of Health IT Conference & Exhibition) organised by HIMSS Europe. The event not only brings industry partners and providers from across Europe, but also important government and regional decision makers. This year the E-Health conference is dedicated to maximum topicalities of the industry including e-health strategies for improving patient care, balancing and driving the e-health ecosystem, managing the challenge of closed loop medication and CIO of the future will be held.

In order to make more convenient access to the information about the e-health solutions developed a specific e-Health section is created on the Latvian IT Cluster’s website (direct link www.itbaltic.com/e-health).

EHealth Week is an annual event held in the country holding the presidecy of the European Union, so it is expected that in year 2015 the eHealth week could take place in Riga.
