Each 12th grade graduate, who wishes to study IT and computer sciences, could enter the competition to receive the scholarship for the first year of studies.

The scholarships are granted to 10 winners of the competition – two applicants from Riga, Vidzeme, Zemgale, Kurzeme and Latgale regions each.

„For the third year in a row, the company DPA is prepared to provide support and additional motivation to young people, who are exceptionally diligent and striving for knowledge. The results of the previous years have shown how much determination and potential our young people have. They deserve support, and our current investment will return to our economy many times over in the near future. This year, several recipients of the previous years’ scholarships were practicing in our company, which proves that our investment was „fruitful”, notes the member of the DPA management board Juris Vilders.

One of the main criteria for the evaluation of the students’ applications for the scholarships was the motivation of each applicant and the statement of reasons, why he or she would like to study the information technologies, as well as their study results and extracurricular interests. This year for the first time 2 ladies were in between ten winners.

The scholarship certificates were delivered in the Ministry of Education and Sciences of Latvia on 17th of September.
