Creativity Week radi!2013 from April 22 to 28

On the April 22 up to April 28 the Creativity Week radi!2013 took place in Latvia. There were many interesting and really creative events during the week.

Wednesday, April 24, in the seminar "Creative bureaucracy: SPRING" domestic and foreign experts shared their knowledge on the solutions to reduce the negative effects of bureaucracy in public administration. The seminar lecturer and creativity expert from the UK Charles Landry gave his vision of creative bureaucracy, valued as the need to deal with in the 21st century.

Thursday, April 25, the practical part of the seminar mentioned above, i.e. Master Class “Come and Create E-government” took place in the Riga IT Demo Centre. People were invited to show, how they would see a creative bureaucracy.

Friday, April 26, the Riga IT Demo Centre welcomed the schoolchildren form 7th up to 9th Class for the Creative Day of Microsoft. They were introduced to Riga IT Centre, Microsoft work in Latvia, Microsoft technologies and programming solutions (TouchDevelop).

The aim of radi!2013 was to show the practical and pragmatic side of creativity, its ability to create added value and to address social problem issues, as well as to identify and facilitate creativity in a purposeful action – in education, culture, entrepreneurship, governance and the social arena.
