Conference "Testing and Social Networks” on May 28

On May 28 the 14th international conference on IT software testing theory and practice "Testing and Social Networks" (TAPOST 2013) will take place in the Latvian University (Raiņa blvd. 19, Riga). This year the conference will be devoted to actual issue over the last years, i.e. social networks and relevant testing challenges.

Considering the rapidly increasing use of information technologies in various sectors of the economy as well as increased automation of business processes, more and more sophisticated software solutions are created every year, so the testing has not only become more complex, but also more important. At the same time education and availability of IT professionals, in particular specially trained and capable software testers, is an additional challenge for IT companies not only in Latvia in order to provide high quality testing of software developed.

The annual conference will bring together IT professionals and stakeholders from universities, IT companies and organizations the software is being developed for. Professionals from Latvia, Estonia, Turkey and Belarus will share their experience on social networks’ testing and challenges.

The conference is organized by the Latvian IT Cluster, in cooperation with several partners: Odnoklassniki, C.T.Co, Tieto Latvia, Evolution Latvia, Exigen Services Latvia, as well as University of Latvia.

Conference "Testing and Social Networks" is supported by the European Regional Development Fund within the project "External Marketing Activities of IT Companies" (ERAF-2012-02).
