Scope and goal

The TAPOST conference continues a series of annual conferences started in the year 2000. The objective of this conference is to establish a communication and knowledge sharing on software testing amond all types of IT professionals, researchers and students. Priority is given to the industry experience and frontier theories and practices. 

Suggested topics

When testing does not go according to the plan:

  • Extraordinary testing projects
  • The importance of announcing the assumptions
  • Post-project retrospectives - Lessons to be learned
  • Technological decisions and testing processes around them
  • When testing is too expencive and what should be done about it
  • What leads to many defects identified in production

Other testing topics:

  • Tester as a valid career choice
  • Test automation
  • Usability testing
  • Testing in Cloud enviroments  
  • Non-functional testing (performance, reliability, etc.)
  • Security testing
  • Experience from Euro transition testing project
  • Academic research in testing area

Submission guidelines

Two types of presentations are planned - short (15 min. presentation, 5min. - questions) long (30min. presentation, 10min. - questions) and demo ( 30min. demonstration,  10min. - questions).

Special welcome will be given to workshops, sessions of sample practices, tools, e.g. a hands - on event working with a tool or method (90 min - work and retrospectives ). A peer-to-peer discussion within session discussing a problem or an idea with your peers is also acceptable.

The submission should include:

  • a meaningful abstract of your presentation (up to 3 pages),
  • indication of presentation type (short, long or demo),
  • a short biography and full contact details.

Conference language: English

The applicants are encouraged to team up with other applicants to create a joint presentation. All submitted materials will be published in the conference proceedings and conference homepage.

Notification of acceptance, program ready: September 3, 2014
